Upload images to 3DEchocardiography.com for consideration
Introduction
This section is intended for use by cardiologists who wish to have their 3D images and other related media considered for discussion on 3DEchocardiography.com. The first stage in the process is to request an FTP username and password. The second stage is to download suitable software for transferring images and other, similar files to 3DEchocardiography.com's server. Please use the navigation below to help you find the information and resources you need.

1. Request username and password
Please complete the form below to request a username and password. The successful applicant will have their username and password e-mailed to them.

2a. Download WS_FTP LE 6.0 for the PC (Windows)

- Download, find on your computer and double click on 'wsftp6.exe'.
- Follow the instructions on the WS_FTP InstallShield Wizard to install the software on your computer...
- ...it is advisable in the stage above to allow the InstallShield Wizard to add a Shortcut to your
Start Menu.
- Once installation is complete, click on Start, move your mouse over All Programs and then move it over WS_FTP LE (this is an example). Click on WS_FTP LE 6.0.
- In the Session Properties box that appears, enter anything meaningful into Profile Name, for example, 3decho.
- Please set up the remainder of the Session Properties as so:
- Host Name/Address: ftp.3dechocardiography.com
- Host Type: Automatic detect
- User ID: (please use the username e-mailed to you)
- Password: (please use the password e-mailed to you)
- Uncheck the Anonymous check box
- Click on OK. If you are asked for the password again, enter it and click on OK.
- When the status in the bottom left-hand corner of the WS_FTP window reads
'x number matches total', you have connected successfully.
- Please click on MkDir on the far right-hand side of the WS_FTP window and enter your name without any spaces or capital letters into the box that appears. Click on OK.
- Double click on your new folder (right-hand side).
- Use the left-hand side of the WS_FTP window to find the image you want to upload. The green up arrow at the top of the file/folder list takes you up one folder level.
- Select your image file, ensure Binary is selected in the lower-centre and click on the small right arrow in the centre of the WS_FTP window. Congratulations! You have uploaded your image for consideration and can Disconnect (Close and Exit) from the site once you have finished.

2b. Download ClassicFTP for the Mac

- Download, find on your computer and double click on 'classicmac.zip'.
- Double click on the 'classicmac' install package.
- Follow the instructions on the ClassicFTP Installer to install the software on your computer.
- Click on the Applications folder icon in the Dock.
- Find ClassicFTP and double click its icon.
- It is recommended at this stage to ctrl-click on the ClassicFTP icon in the Dock and select Keep In Dock.
- In the ClassicFTP window, click on Connect and then New Site...
- Into label, enter anything meaningful to you, for example, 3decho.
- Please set up the remainder of the FTP Site Properties as so:
- FTP Server: ftp.3dechocardiography.com
- User Name: (please use the username e-mailed to you)
- Password: (please use the password e-mailed to you)
- Click on Test FTP Settings. The response window should include the following:
- Server "ftp.3dechocardiography.com" is OK.
- Logon details are OK.
- Current directory is: /
- Unable to delete from server.
- Click on OK on the current response window and then OK on the FTP Site Properties window.
- In the ClassicFTP window, click on Connect and then the name of the site you have just set up.
- Once the status message on the bottom right-hand corner of the ClassicFTP window reads 'Connected OK', please ctrl-click in the space above and select New Folder. Use your name, without any spaces or capital letters, to name the folder.
- Double click on your new folder (right-hand side).
- Use the left-hand side of the ClassicFTP window to find the image you want to upload. The up arrow takes you up one folder level, whereas the right and left arrows allow you to move forwards and backwards respectively. The circular arrows icon refreshes the list of files and folders contained within the folder you are currently viewing.
- Select your image file and click on the large blue right arrow in the centre of the ClassicFTP window. Congratulations! You have uploaded your image for consideration and can Disconnect from the site once you have finished.
