Abnormalities of the Tricuspid Valve
1. Dysplastic Tricuspid Valve
This video profiles a dysplastic tricuspid valve with RA dilatation with some degree of displacement of the septal leaflet. However, there is no rotational abnormality of the effective orifice. There is delamination abnormality of all the three leaflets but the valve is dysplaced towards the trabecular apex.
for comparison the 3D view of the normal tricuspid valve is given below
Assessment of RV volume using TomTec RV software. Note the dysplacement of the effective orfice is towards the right ventricular apex in tricuspid valve dysplasia as against the displacement towards the outflow tract in the Ebstein's anomaly.
